I don't know if you are asking if you can install OS 9 so that you can run your program in Classic, or if you actually want to be able to startup in OS 9.

Some Macintosh computers start up only in Mac OS X. These computers can run Classic, but they do not start up in Mac OS 9. For which is which, see:

In any case, if OS 9 isn't already installed on your G4, which would mean that you don't have access to the Classic environment, then you can install OS 9 from the Software Restore disk that came with your Macintosh. Hopefully you can run Mac School successfully in Classic.
