G4 2x800 Quicksilver, bought Jan '02, came with Seagate 80GB HD, Pioneer DVR-103 (not so Super) Superdrive.
Added one internal Quantum Atlas 10K Ultra2Wide SCSI HD for scratch.
Always found G4 noisy, right from the start, but thought this was the price (sound?) of progress...
Now I hear that there apparently was a recall on G4's for faulty/noisy power supplies?
I don't think the hardrives are that noisy, rather the fan(s) seem to run full throttle at all times.
Anybody know of replacement power supplies/fans for this G4 that would help salvage my aching ears?
