| I don't know how to get an iSub to work if it stops working on an intel system.
Have a USB iSub used for playing music all day long, attached to our Intel iMac, which worked when first plugged in, and has for the couple of months we have had the Intel iMac. It doesn't show up in the sound pref pane, but it just works.
