It seems to reset every time I use it, asking me to select the language.... It doesn't show any playlists or music, but still has 37GB of stuff on it (only 1.9 GB capacity remaining). Reseting it doesn't change anything.
iTunes can see it, but says it needs to be initialized...
Having the iPod in disk mode doesn't change anything.
I can see it with disk utility, but verifying it gives me an error (can't remember which one... currently scanning it for my lost files with Testdisk)
Testdisk seems to be the only free/shareware thing I can find... but it's taking forever.
And I know it's really idiotic to not have a backup, but my HD is only 15GB so I got a big iPod for all my music. I've got most of it on backup CDs (lots of them) but I don't have it all, and I'm still hoping I can get my playlists.
