| For Vista Ultimate, you need to change the Security Policy MSC in three different areas. They include:
Local Security Policy
Security Options
LAN Manager Authentication Level
You'll want to change the default setting from “Send NTLMv2 response only” to “Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”
That should allow Vista Ultimate to connect to an SMB share from Mac OS X Server.
