There are some reviews on MacUpdate and VersionTracker. Several are unfavorable, but it doesn't seem to be malicious, anyway.
You may want to try out
Little Snitch. It will notify you when applications make network connections, and it lets you deny them access. So with that installed, you can make sure that this application is only connecting to eBay and not to any mysterious servers.
