| It's true that HK should be far more helpful. My tranny died too. I tried talking to the shop that sold me the speakers with my iMac. They tried to help but had no clue. I contacted some companies that specialise in transformers and they never got back to me. I got fed up so today I went to Maplin (electrical nerdy shop) with the dead HK transformer. I bought a 'laptop power adaptor' and a multimeter (to check the correct polarity) and now all is working perfectly. All I did was splice the strange HK connector onto the end of the new cable and selected the correct power settings and now I have my lovely Soundsticks back. |
