np - forwarded to the correct part of forum here.
Save all the data you want for youself.
Then boot to Mac OS X install disc, and select Disk Utility (from Utilities menu.. or look under menus to find it), and select an erase of the hard drive, depending on how paranoid you are, 1, 7, or 35 or whatever times it suggests.
After that is done, just install the system fresh.
