According to the specs outlined
here, the included optical drive does not support dual-layer DVD discs. You'll need to use single-layer DVDs in order to use them on that PowerBook. You could also see about purchasing a compatible optical drive that does support dual-layer DVD discs, but that would require opening up the PowerBook.
