You might want to look into Vine Server if you're sharing your OS X desktop. http://www.testplant.com/products/vine_server/OS_X
Also, OS X has had native VNC support since Tiger. The settings are in System Preferences-->Sharing. I personally prefer using Vine Server since it gives you more options.
