| Are you using any type of SCSI adapter? Like a SCSI 1 to SCSI 2 adapter, for example. I was using one to connect to my HP DDS3 drive, and Retrospect wouldn't recognize it until I got the right SCSI cable.
The cable is another thing you should check as well-try buying a new cable to see if that's the problem.
