Question Mac OS X on Wallstreet

OK, I've been meaning to ask this. Looks like others have asked similar questions with similar configurations, but got different answers.

My configuration: PowerBook G3 Wallstreet 250 / 13.3" with 384 MB RAM.
My question: Is it feasible to load Mac OS X on it, and if so, how pleasantly suprised will I be? Lately I've been spending most of my laptop time in a web browser, but I do work in Photoshop 6, Illustrator 8, PageWrecker 7, and Dreamweaver 4 from time to time.

My drive is to catch up to the Mac community, and to do that would be to adopt Mac OS X. A new machine is just a little out of reach right now, so for $120 or so I can dabble with X.

What confounds me is how a user with a 333 MHz PB can be happy with OS X's performance, while another user with a 400 MHz PB says it sucks. What gives?

I'm used to my 250 MHz laptop, and I'm used to a 400 MHz G3 B&W at work, both running Mac OS 9.
