I checked out the link at the bottom of the M$ article ("Once you use Mac, will you ever go back?"). He's gonna use the Mac platform almost exclusively for a month (after 5 years as a PC user), and then report on his conclusions. Ought to be interesting!

I used to think Coursey was an idiot, but now I have a lot more respect for him. He hasn't been saying as much stupid stuff recently.

yea, i'm not so sure the idea that he makes it sound like apple won't live without m$ is something i agree with, but i like the way he nails m$ for doing the least amount possible to live up to their part of the settlement. While apple can't go back and get more, i hope the DOJ uses some of their pracitces towards macs and the pitiful way they have supported the platform to nail them tighter in the coffin.

Hahaha...

I, too, have given a little more respect to Coursey, with the exception of that one article on the new iMac chiding Apple for not providing the option of having 2 internal drives, and for not adding a wireless keyboard and mouse. The other thing that really made him look like an idiot was when he said that he really didn't mind having the computer under his desk because it allowed easy access to the ports. What, huh? As appleturns.com said it, he must live under his desk.

That Microsoft Mac suuport article was good, as is his "challenge" to go Mac for a month, and I'm surprised that he's giving it such good ratings.

The article about the modems is just laughable, though. I have never, and my dad has never, had a problem with modem connection problems in Italy where we usually go, as well as when we go on trips throughout Europe. Maybe this guy hasn't heard of checking OTHER things that could be causing the failure (e.g.: phone line, software, ISP). He just assumes that because he has to attempt to connect more than once in Europe means that the modem is bad. How naïve.
