Installed OS X BETA on my Wallstreet G3 with 192 Mb of RAM and it runs WELL. Being a former UNIX kinda guy, I have been looking forward to seeing what MAC OS X would be like on a POWERBOOK.

Very elegant and functional and YES, stable OS.

Apple has done it and I firmly believe that this OS will begin another renaissance in the areas of Digital Media, Printing and Graphics and even restore sanity to Network Administration since their hasn't been a secure OS since NT 3.5.1 by Microsoft.

Hey, true UNIX will run on just about ANY machine. Running it on my POWERBOOK proves that the code in OS X is optimized for G3 processors and up and in any configuration.

YAY! The Second Coming of Steve did happen!

Same machine/memory here and...

OSX is a slow as molasses.

Even on my G4/450 w/512MB of RAM at work OS X's window redrawing, application opening, etc is extremelly choppy.

Hoping that this all has to do with lack of video acceleration and debugging code.
