dlookus, that's funny. you know Spree was playing with the local Warriors when the choking incident occurred. and for a long time afterwards manypeople whosaw my name written would pronounce it Sprewell. Personally I like him. I also feel a certain affinity for him as well. and he never gets any respect either oh, and i completely agree with Fryke. (he slipped that post in while i was composing my last one ) |

| I've wondered about that one, too. I used to pronounce it in german in my mind...something you don't wanna hear spoken out loud ![]()

| pronounced 'sprool', like a spool of thread with an r in it. don't try to bounce it. of course it is some sort of germanic name so ulrik's pronunciation might be closer to the original version. rolling the r and making the s into sh is a nice touch for effect ![]() if there is anyone out there who knows another Spruiell, please let me know. |

| testuser - you've been hanging around GadgetLover too much It is Latrell Sprewell, better known as Spree. no relation. i wish there was. but if you flip back a few posts, you will see that dlookus started this stuff about my name because he associates it with Sprewell. but thanks for the geneology stuff. I will go back and really explore some of that. it is something i have been wanting to do. I recognized at least one known relative there. ![]() and i keep hoping someone across the atlantic will recognize it and say something!! |
