The stupidity of the general public!

As seen in a local, mainly PC-centric, computer store:

"Please note that, contrary to the recent advertisements, Apple's new iMac does not move by itself."

Oh my gawd! I asked the salesperson if that was for real, and, lo and behold, it was. Unreal.

Now back to our regularly scheduled rumors.

Does that mean you can't eject the CD by sticking your tongue out?

Darn it! I guess I won't be buying one then, I could have swore that was real! I bet you could talk to it and have it eject it's CD, though!

Actually, that's one thing Apple should focus a commercial on. The build in speech commands. A guy with an iMac saying "iMac, what time is it?" or "iMac, take me back to that porn site" would get the message across.

Goes to show that marketing does indeed work. However, Apple should learn a valuable lesson. Stop selling what you don't have.

The iMac is cool, and obviously people have flocked to go seek this new computer. They are disappointed when it doesn't offer what the advertisment does.

Apple needs to get away from FLUFF advertisements and show people using the interface, SHOW AQUA... show the interface... let people come and see it and use it. Show grandma using it, and then show a hacker dude using it. It's a machine for the whole family... stupid public or hacker nerd.

LOL...wow...that one kinda throws me off due to it's sheer level of stupidity

I'm just trying to picture what the people were asking the salespeople on the floor...LOL

I'm also wondering why a computer being able to bop back and forth would be a selling point for it...what are people thinking? LOL

These are probably the same people who call tech support asking about how to fix their "cup holders."
