Maybe it will take advantage of somewhat decent newer carbon libs, because the performance of this program under osx is abysmal. A PIII 733 with 128 Megs of RAM trounces me on a scene I've been working on because of radiosity and a material I use. Meanwhile, the render speed is half the mac on the PIII.. I'm running a iMac 800 with 512 megs of RAM. It's sad, because I love POV-Ray so much, and I am forced to eithre find or buy a faster rig to continue to use it at home.
