| Microsoft ceases development of Virtual PC Perhaps unsurprisingly, Microsoft has decided not to develop a Universal version of Virtual PC, according to the following news article: http://news.com.com/2100-1012_3-6102930.html With Boot Camp and Parallels Desktop, Virtual PC for Intel-based Macs probably looked quite a redundant offering. |

| You have to hand it to the people of Connectix who must have sold out at the top. They could see the end coming. |

| They had worked with Microsoft (bundling OSs etc.) for a couple of years before that, MS needed a virtual machine solution (the PC version of VirtualPC) and MS probably paid a good price. I don't really think Connectix knew Apple would go intel anymore than anyone else outside of intel/Apple did. But I guess it's all for the better. ... Parallels has a really good product going, VMware will come to the Mac soon, we've got the CrossOver beta - and yeah, BootCamp as well, although I think BootCamp is a little overhyped for what it really is (a partitioner and hardware drivers).
