Unhappy

I cant figure out how to get the net to work on my machine.
im on a 56k connection
I used to use Remote acces, TCP\IP, and PPP
but i cant install my old PPP software on OS X.
I think i used to use open transport too.

What should i do? i wanna use os x but its kinda useless to the rest of my family without the net so i have my startup disk curruntly as os 9, where the net works.

how do I connect

You don't have to install software to connect. Open the System Preferences under the Apple, then open the Network Preference. Set it up in there.

to add, there's a program inside your applications folder called Internet Connect. this gives you an interface to dial out.

have fun.
