AppleStores down 20080108...

For the past two hours, Apple's online store(s) have been down. It's Tuesday. What'll be updated?

Qion will become famous soon enough
Well, seeing that it's not quite the 15th yet, I'd be surprised to see anything major. This is probably new iPod colors or something similar.

Is it the new Mac Pro, as on the Apple home page?

I guess so, nothing major. Just 8-core power on _every_ Mac Pro. Yay. Makes space for a new desktop, the headless iMac, in a week's time? Then again, the store's still closed. Has it *ever* taken them more than four/five hours to update the store?

I checked these online stores:

Australia
Austria
Canada
Germany
Greece
Italy
Japan
Mexico
New Zealand
Norway
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
UK
USA

and the only two which were closed were the Mexican and US stores....

So it can't be anything big, can it?

8-core Xserve as well.

I'm almost certain that the Mac Mini and the baseline MacBook will get complete revisions at the least, hopefully complete replacements. I've been holding off upgrading my portable machine for the next generation MacBook.

Well, so the Mac Pro and Xserve are out of the way then, and Steve can use his 1.5 hours for portables next week.
