Firmware updates

Apple has been busy and made a number of firmware updates available. You can obtain the relevant updates through OS X's Software Update or manually visit the following URLs:

Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update 1.0

The update package will install an updater application into the Applications/Utilities folder and will launch it automatically.

Connect your aluminum Apple Keyboard before following the instructions in the updater application to complete the update process.

If you are installing from a MacBook or a MacBook Pro, your computer's power cord must be connected and plugged into a working power source.

Odd, my Software Updater doesn't pick up the iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.3 even though my iMac C2D has a Boot ROM Version of IM51.0090.B09 .... guess I'll just do a manual then ...

SoftWare update gets the firmware just for the Macs they were intended for. The firmware download will not work if the firmware is not for your Mac.
