leopard Update?

Has anyone heard any rumors about Apple coming out with a new update that
will allow us new leopard users to be able to open email attachments from PC
users, without a lot of hassle?

Are you having problems with the attachments sent from PCs?

Most of the problems I've seen (since ancient times of 10.0) are coming from bad Outlook settings... that said, I don't remember how many years ago it was I last had a problem with a valid mail attachment sent from a PC.

I run Leopard.

I receive emails with attachments from PC users (using a lot of different clients: Thunderbird, Outlook, Outlook Express, webmail, etc.).

I have no difficulty opening those attachments (as long as it's a platform-independed attachment -- of course, .exe files ain't gonna happen).

Just because one person or a handful of people have trouble opening PC attachments doesn't mean that the entire universe of Leopard users is having trouble opening PC attachments, and it doesn't mean that the problem is inherent to the operating system, requiring an update in order to "fix."

Please describe your problem in detail.

And yes, to answer the question you posed, Mac OS X 10.5.6 update is right around the corner. Whether it addresses anything about attachments is unknown.
