i need some advice

hi, i would like to know if anyone of you who uses a mac, works with PLC (programmable logic controllers), because i'm planning to buy one (maybe an i-book) and i can't find info about de compatibility between macs and these stuff. I'm asking, because lots of PLC uses de RS232 interface to connecto to the computer, and the i-book doesn't have it (i think). So please, if anyone of you know some way to work with these from an apple, thak you!

Use this as a starting point. As for connecting, if you can't find anything else, I'm sure you can find a buttload of adaptors if you look in the right places (like www.pricewatch.com perhaps).

I don't know, you know a lot more about this topic than I do. Check it out, see if they have a demo; if they don't, email the company and ask them.
