| Totally worth it on a cost to feature ratio. I barely use the iLife apps, but I'll still get it. I probably won't even bother with the hoop-jumping hassle of an upgrade, it's so inexpensive. I would love to use iPhoto exclusively for photo management, but Portfolio is still the only app that can create a cross-platform searchable CD. (I like to send our keyworded family CDs). Now if Apple could improve iPhoto's web generation to include keyword searching, that would rule. And even better if they could do it without requiring a server so you could just burn a CD of the HTML and image files. Problem is that Apple wants us to buy .Mac to post the images, so it'll never happen.

| The thing I'm the most happy with is that now the iPhoto prints and photobooks are available worldwide, not just in the US, and the prices are actually quite good. I think I might blow a bit of cash on running of photobooks to use as gifts and so on.

| No. During the show Steve announced there would be an upgrade price for Final Cut Express to the new Final Cut Express HD. There is a student/education discount on iLife, though.

| Capt Code, did you watch the Keynote. One of the funny moments was when Steve was demonstrating dashboard, and was checking the US dollar against the Euro and the Yen, and he grumbled about how the dollar "sucked". When he was demonstrating how you call up the information with Expose-style hotkeys, he said "and I can see right away that its still raining outside, and the dollar still sucks."
