The reason that it's faster is probably because you reinstalled your system. The reason that Finder is still 10.1 is because Apple not has updated it, it is nothing wrong.
Hi! Yesterday I updatet My System to OS 10.1.1! I cleaned my disk and did a full new install. After installing OS 10.1.1 I was immpressed. It's a lot faster than OS 10.1! So does the Finder. But as I looked into the about Box it says "Finder 10.1" Is that right or do I have to reinstall all? HELP!![]()

But they said that they made improvements to the Finder? Are those guys at Apple stupid? Why do they change the code without changing the Version?Strange

I also thought they had improved the Finder.
One of the problems 10.1.1 seems to have solved is the size of movie windows within the finder.
Prior to upgrading to 10.1.1, if the finder window was smaller than the movie preview window, the movie would get squeezed in an unproportinoal way. Now it's fine!![]()

By the way, ever thought about removing the white box around your Apple avatar?![]()
It's possible that the Finder HAS been updated, but that they just didn't add the extra number, because they forgot, was to lazy to do it or because it looks cleaner that way...
AppleWatcher: Pinguin is spelled Penguin![]()
Yeah sorry for my spelling, I live in the Netherlands...
And about my Avatar: I surf on the Internet with my fathers computer which is not a Mac and there's no Photoshop on it (only Paint), but I'm gonna make a new Avatar on my iMac DV SE
with Painter 7 or something...
