Lost HD or Start up Disk

Sorry Im sure you've had this a million times.

Im running imac 2.66internal core 2 duo 2GB 800 MHz DDR SD RAM, mac OSX 10.5.8

Basically I can't find the normal disk icon on my desktop, And it wont show in "Usernames imac" or Finder.

However if I search my samples It finds the disk and the samples, and the disk appears in the finder in my imac, tho the icon is faded. then if I click off and back on the icon disapears.

Disk is still usable, just hard to find.

Is there a script for this?

Or even a thread dedicated?

thanks in advance.

From your desktop, click on Finder (top left next to small black apple) then click on the Sidebar icon at the top and look to see if Hard Disks is checked under Show these items in the Sidebar.

Thumbs up

Open a new Finder Window. Does it appear in 'Devices' on the left hand side?

Charlie

PS. I think you have the wrong thread, please be patient and wait for an answer. Most things our solved by the Mac Nerds Eventually. If in doubt - Ask a tech.
