Itunes cutting out

My fileserver (PC) is what we use as our video server and the apple tv reads directly off of it. I find that this is extremly unstable because I have to constantly restart itunes since it keeps on loosing the shared videos. Has anyone else found this?

I have a couple reasons why this might be. First of all it might be because its a PC and even though AppleTV technically works with PC's, im sure it doesn't work as flawless. and the other reason why it might is because I have about 200gb (and growing) of videos. Could one of those cause it?
