Part of the reason our forum search went south is the newsgroups. Since the newsgroups are part of a love/hate relationship, we will be moving the newsgroups to a seperate, yet integrated forum. This will split off the newsgroups into a seperate area with their own search, new posts search, etc. This will all be tightly integrated into the site and most people will not realize it is any different than before.

This could take a week or so to nail out, test and perform the task on the live server. Once this is complete, search will be back along with new posts features.

The spliting of the forums is currently in process. This is very time consuming. Hopefully, we can have search up by tomorrow or at least partially. This *better* fix our issues.

Newsgroups will be back tomorrow as well and will be searchable seperately.

If it doesn't bog things down, search has been turned on, but I have killed the text search index, as such, text search will only search new posts but will make available "New Posts" links to see active threads.

Our main forums and search is 100% operational. Lets hope this fixes our issues. Now onto the newsgroups.

Newsgroups are now back, but I still need to do some stuff and not 100% sure how it will all integrate. But you can view them by choosing the "Newsgroups" forum from the forum page or go here:

If you are a new registration and can post in the forums, but not in the newsgroup forums, don't worry, we are fixing it.
