Hi Everyone,
Is there a limit to what I can upgrade a Cpu on a Powermac G3, can I put a 2.5Ghz processor in it or is there a limit if there is what is it, what would I have to do to upgrade it to the limit, will i have to cool it if yes how much, will I have to upgrade other components if yes what.
What would the cost be to do all this and is it a better idea to just get a newer mac or is there any dangers like the whole computer frying etc.

Help Would be much appreciated
Thank you in the future,
Charlie Jennings
p.s I have tried very hard to get my english correct I am very sorry if there is any annoying miss spellings or punctuation etc.
Once again Thank you in the future

Just a quick FYI, if its a beige G3 there can be some limitations on G4 upgrades. Some of the motherboards have an incompatible voltage regulator (http://eshop.macsales.com/Descriptions/specs/Framework.cfm?page=VRM.html&title=Royal+Voltage+Regulator+Module) that will fry the processor card unless upgraded.
