Why are these so much more expensive than other discs? normal quality discs are about £3.69 for a pack of 25 but when I was in the Apple Store on Saturday I noticed a pack of 25 Apple discs are £45!!!!!

because they don't expect that many will buy them. but there will be those who do, and they make 11 times more profit that the nearest competitor.

Why are these so much more expensive than other discs? ....Apple is not in the business of selling optical discs. Apple offers the discs as a convenience to its customers. Institutional customers such as myself who must develop a purchase requisition for everything we buy benefit from Apple's offering. It is much easier to include those discs on a purchase requisition for a new computer than to do a second requisition to buy the discs from a different vendor. Convenience pricing is expensive.
