Hello, I am a highschool stduent who is not able to get a job because the area where I live is difficult to get jobs for highschool students like me even though I'm 18, especially since my school gives me so much homework and I have many extra curricular activites. Thus I have a tight budget. I now have a PPC based laptop and need a Intel mac laptop to stay with updates once PPC is phased out. Would like a laptop with above specs in good condition for $900 + shipping to 94710 (Berkeley CA), I am paypal verified (contact me for proof). Can pay via PayPal, if you are able to fullfil this request then please be sure to specify the specs of the laptop and it's condition (new or used or new in box (and sealed or not), with original parts and software or not, if used..how it is cosmetically and overall in usability), thanks much! :)

I saw a MacBook (basic model) for $940 at the Apple Refurb site.

dude, i think you're jumping the gun. what laptop do you have now? if its a late model g3 or any g4, you'll be able to use it for many more years. and these early model mac books that you are looking at will be obsolete as fast as a g4. i'd save your money and keep using the laptop you have until you have enough to buy a macbook from apple, or have to have one to run a certain piece of software. i still use my powerbook duo 280 and it got me through my collage english classes just fine 4yrs ago. you don't have to have the latest hardware and software to do good in school.
