I am working on ticket

I responded to it on 8/27 (yesterday)

But on August 27, 2006 8:45:06 PM CDT I got an email (two in fact) that it bit the dust.
Ticket Information on the email:
Ticket #: 27856
Subject: Cursor is distorted
Status: Response
Opened: Wed, Aug 23, 2:16 PM
Expires: Wed, Aug 30, 2:14 PM
Tech Views: 8
Last Post: Wed, Aug 23, 2:53 PM
Last Notification: None

Both tickets got closed again by the system after I had opened them and responded to them this morning.

No, it's not the user because the email that came through says -"Another one bites the dust"

What is strange is that they both say: Expires: Thu, Aug 31

I now have another ticket that the system closed. And this one closed right after the user responded to me.

Could it be that the system is not registering my responses, but looking at the user response?

The user has been emailing me directly, and I have been entering his response, then entering my response.

The bites the dust email states: Sat, Aug 19
But in fact my last response is Aug 28.

I think it's fixed. I will keep an eye on it though.
