You need to tidy up a bit, mon. Get your clothes away from your workspace; it's not inducive to productivity. (Unless of course you change clothes frequently while working :))

And although the reason escapes my cogitations, some people like having their workspaces cluttered... maybe it's compensating for clean work? I just cannot stand having extraneous crap around me when I'm trying to focus, another reason I hate high school.

I like the iMacs. They remind me of the Grape G3 I had way back when.

You MUST be living in South Florida. I recognize the WSVN 7 News screen effects anywhere. Greetings, neighbor! :p

What were the spring break tourists like? It seemed as if half the people I know were going to Florida, enough to make me imagine Florida itself breaking off like a puzzle piece from the mainland!

i'm glad when we don't get any tourists. Personnaly i'm getting tired of Florida or atleast South Florida.

yah, i remember the good ole days back in 98/99 when firewire was first introduced withthe Grape imac and there still was a power button on the keyboard, I actually liked having the power button on the keyboard, I also like the matching colors.

How many Macs do you have?????????
I counted:
2 iMac G3s
1 iMac G5
1 eMac G4
1 iBook
2 PCs

Are all these yours, or are they partly from your parents?

The two iMac G3's I got from my school when they upgraded to iMac G5's, there BlueBerry 350Mhz and Dalmatian 600Mhz, they are now in storage. The eMac G4 I also got from my school. The iBook G3 I got for christmas, the iMac G5 I got it dead and I brought it to apple and they replaced the motherboard for free. So all those computers where used. The one PC is a dell and thats my brothers. There is no other PC but there is a Mac Mini which is my moms.
Since then I finnaly bought a brand new MacBook.

If a cluttered space means a cluttered brain, what does an empty space mean ?

icemanjc

lol, nice. It means a space that can be filled with ideas.

Looks... a bit... cramped. Where do you put your legs?

Ferdinand
July 29th, 2008, 07:47 AM
i thought that too....

and btw where are the fish?

I was more surprised by the fishtank hanging over the iMac, which is next to a can of paint on the floor!

icemanjc

I don't need leg space for some reason, always somewhere to put my legs.
It's a turtle tank so theres no fish, just two turtles and I haven't seem a problem with it hanging over.
I have another desk in my room but I didn't like sitting at it, felt awkward.

So I finally moved my computer to a real desk because sitting legs crossed on a seat gives cramps when sitting at a computer all night long and it gives me more room to pile up cups of coke and iced tea.
The picture quality is kind of crappy because it was taken from my phone.

I think that by now I have the hottest (temperature wise) room in the house. Yes I know it's a bit messy, but it is a bedroom....

What happened to your iMac?

icemanjc

The aluminum one? Let's just say I liked the Xserve better. The LCD that is connected to the Xserve was connected to the G5 as a second screen in the spot where the iMac was.

The humble amount of dorm space we get (with a bit too many cables laying around).

Is that a 6500 or something else in your picture ?

DeltaMac
June 30th, 2012, 08:42 AM
That PowerMac minitower in the picture is either an 8600, 9600, or a G3.
A PM 6500 case is much narrower

icemanjc
June 30th, 2012, 08:54 AM
Yep it's a G3, funny because they call it a minitower... I managed to actually put 10.2.8 since it already had a 375 MHz processor, so I put 512MB RAM, a 60 GB hard drive as well as a USB PCI card so even for it's age it works nicely. However, I use it mostly to play old classic games on 9.2.2.

Here's the media center set up. The photos are lower quality because they're taken from my 3GS. Which is as you probably know, doesn't take the best pictures in the world.

I'd swear, there's something happening with the phones (not just with iPhones). They all come with great picture taking capacity. Then as soon as the next model you want is out there, they all suddenly are blurry and look like they have instagram built-in (for the picture quality).
