Intel Mac Modem issues

Have bought a brand new intel Mac and can't connect to internet.
Did have a speedtouch 330 modem but couldn't get it to work. I have been told that these don't work on an intel mac so I bought a USRobotics ADSL2+ router.
To my horror there is no information at all on how to set it up for a mac but the bloke in the shop swore that it was easy and it will work. Is there a site where I can download the information?

I've had to get a mate to e-mail you guys for a last ditch attempt to get this thing working.

Do those modems connect via USB or Ethernet? I would highly recommend one that connects via Ethernet for ease-of-use.

Then, it's just a matter of seting the correct username/password and other settings in the "Network" control panel. You would probably use "PPPoE" for a DSL connection.
