I have unreal 2003 installed on my macbook, problem is it keeps jerking, I think it is because my HDD is only 5200rpm? I haven't got any other apps running when I play it.

UT2003 is not a universal binary app, AFAIK. The jerkiness is probably being caused when your Core Duo has to emulate a PowerPC processor using Rosetta to play the game.

You can get UT2004 for Mac at the Apple Store UK (http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/wa/RSLID?s=topRated&fnode=home/shop_mac/software/action_games&nplm=T8620&mco=F52EE822), a bit pricey I admit, but the 3369-2 patch (http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=18155) gives you a universal binary.
Just a thought.
