[HOWTO] reset the Print Center in 10.5.x

To reset the printer in 10.5.x follow these steps:

1) Open System Preferences->Print & Fax
2) Control+click in the left hand pane of Print & Fax
3)Select "Reset Printing System"

This will reset your 10.5.x printing system back to default. Then re-add you printer back.
