Ipod doesn't appear in iTunes

I have Ipod video 30Gb, and after i deleted all hidden files on Ipod:\iPod_Control\Music. my Ipod doesn't appear in iTunes but it appear in my computer drive(data transfer).
And when i disconected from my PC n start browse music on my ipod it appear the music that i was deleted but i can't play it

FYI : i using windows xp on my desktop
i dont have any back up files to recover what i was delete.
anyone can help me please...

If you can activate iTunes, you might be able to reset the firmware; but if iTunes can't see the ipod, resetting it is probably the way to go.

It worked...
after reseting the ipod i found(detected) on my iTunes...so i could format it...
