Timmy Me app not working

I have recently added the Timmy Me app. to my 8G Ipod touch 2nd gen. When I go to use it I receive an error that it can not find me. The app. was a free download if that matters. Can anyone help me out here. Thanks in advance. Shabby.

Timmy Me, if I understand correctly, uses GPS -- which the iPhone has, but the iPod touch has not.
