View Full Version : New Xserve and RAID to be setup

We have a new Xserve running 10.5 with a headnode and 3 additional nodes. We also have a 20Tb RAID.

The person who was to set it up left so I'm stuck with it. I'm actually looking forward to it but not quite comfortable with everything.

The OS is installed but it appears that the nodes are not associated and the RAID is not setup.

Where do I start? Any good books or documentations that can take me step by step?

"Nodes?" I'm not familiar with that term. Does that mean "other servers?"

Nodes are used in Xserve clusters to increase computing power:

I don't know how far the previous guy got but this is what the drives on the RAID looks like (see attached screen shot)

As you can see it shows up in Disk Utility but no in RAID Admin.

I want to create a one mirror of all these. Where do I start and how do I go about that?
