I have noticed this after their last two upgrades. I like FF because of the add-ons. I have not added on any in a while; however.. FF pretty much never crashed. For example, it has just crashed twice using the same webpages I always use--no Flash or anything like that running.
Just wondering if anyone has noticed this and if there is a solution . . . or not.
I use OpenDNS.

Have you tried to throw out the FireFox/Mozilla preferences file to see if that helps? Also maybe some plugin is causing the problem too.

No, I have not, but I will try that. It is more an occasional annoyance.

I've noticed FF will start using 70-80% processor sending the fans into high gear on my macbook. Doesn't happen often enough to even be worth investigating. I just usually quit firefox and the processor usage immediately drops, then relaunch FF and all is well again.

I have noticed that too. Usually, running daily scripts solve that--or that could be my "placebo" and quitting FF and restarting it "solves" the problem.
