Hi! I'll get right to it:

My mac is File Sharing on a Windows network. All users can see two out of three folders. This issue is seen from both mac and pc machines within the network. How can I get the third folder to show up?

1. All folders have the same permissions: R/W - RO - RO
2. All folders have short file names with no extra characters
3. Folders are shared locally on the mac machine, with domain created (http://mymachine)
4. Wireless and Ethernet are on simultaneously, with Ethernet being the default
5. All protocols are selected, that means AFP, FTP and SMB are all checked (in Options).
6. I'm running 10.5.8 on a new iMac 24" 4GB RAM, 2.8MHz
7. I repaired permissions on the machine and a few were repaired, but mostly Quicktime and Airport permissions were repaired

Any ideas?

Can those Windows computers connect to the share (by "folder," I assume you mean "share" -- or do you mean folders within a share?) by entering the address manually in the "Connect to Server..." dialog?

For example:

smb://computername/sharename

Hey, thanks for responding! I meant folders within my computer.

Of course I've just now figured out what's happening: The "Documents" folder, where my folders are placed that I'm sharing, has its own permissions (one was a com.apple...permission, strange!) and I didn't know it applies those to all items within it - whether those items are RW or not.

So now, all of a sudden, I can see all three folders again.
