We have been using OD just fine. Had all the accounts set up and made home directories for them.

NOW when I add an account and try to map the home directory to where all the other directories are it comes up with an error that says:

Unable to create home directory.
The home directory could not be created because an error occurred.

Why would it work and now say this. Please help.

How are you mapping it? With gui or cli?
What syntax do you use if cli?
Does the error happen also when creating a new user but not specifying hte home folder?
What shows in Console as a more detailed error when that fails?

I am using WGM to set up accounts. The messages I have stated come when I try to make a home directory in WGM.

I also got this error "Unable to create home directory" when using WGM on a remote machine. This might be a glitch with this version of admin tools, I used ARD to get into my server and had no problem creating the home directory.
