Hi all,

I have a strange thing happening with my Iomega Media Drive, My Macbook and a Dell running Vista.

If I do a Get Info on some old files 'Everyone' has Read & Write permissions. If i add something new Everyone has No Access (but i have Custom Access).

I can access the files no problem at all but the Mrs cant access the new files.

I cant change the privilege through the Get Info window.

Any ideas????????

Can you give us a little more information? Who is using what computer? Is the drive being accessed over the network? If so, from the Mac to the PC, or vice-versa? What format is the external drive in?

We know there are two computers (Mac and PC, yes?), and a single drive. Which computer is this drive connected to? Do you move it from computer to computer?

If you could describe your setup in greater detail as well as how, precisely, you're using this drive, that would help immensely in troubleshooting the problem.

The drive is a Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive and is a NAS. Im not sure of the file system but i have a strange feeling its Linux based.

Both the Mac and PC are connected to the network via Wifi.
