Have an old eMac (1.42ghz) that has been out of use for 2 years and needs to be used for a project. At first, wouldn't boot so tried zapping p-ram, got to the blue screen, then booted into the safe boot mode, worked fine and got to the desktop, checked off items, restarted and got blue screen then went dark. Just booted up again to apple spinning icon, to blue then to blue with lower third of screen with alternating color grain pattern, much like a printer test page....has this reached the end of the road? Thanks

Do you have gray restore disc that came with it ? Run the test disc with it. Sounds like your video chip or video cable is bad or even the screen itself.
