I have a CD which won't come out of the cd drive on my Mac G5. I've tried all the tricks - restart holding mouse, eject via disc utility etc., but it seems to be physically stuck, the drive tries to open but won't. How would I remove it from inside the Mac - is it a lot of bother?
Mac G5, dual 2.5 ghz Power PC, OSX 5.8

It may just be the access door part of the enclosure stopping it from ejecting. You should just be able to push and hold the access door down to see if that allows the tray on the optical drive to come out.

Thanks for replying, and I think it is the access door stopping it, but you say push and hold it down, doesn't it come forward, i.e. pull it? I've tried that with a bit of wire, but didn't want to pull too hard.
