Since moving over to the Mac side, I have decided to address my collection of music files and was wondering if there is a programme in Mac land that could identify duplicates etc without having to go through itunes

What version of OS X are your running? I heard some good things about the shareware Dupin (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/25906/dupin). Also on the that page are suggestions for other programs.
