what is the best Ubuntu for the iMac G3 Tray load? i tried the last official supported PPC Ubuntu (6.10) but i had no video so what is the best version that will work? it will also need to be compatible with eMac as i will be using the eMac to install it on the iMac Hard Drive

Any PPC build of Ubuntu should work. (or you could try Xubuntu or Lubuntu if you have less RAM). Newer builds are better even when the Mac is older

You can find some newer builds of (community supported... in practice the difference is just that you can't buy official support from Ubuntu) Ubuntu systems for PowerPC here
