I just installed the Q3A 1.3.2 patch (click here (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games_demoupdates/quakeiiiarenax.html)) and tried to run the game, but it crashed when I went into multiplayer. Did I install it wrong?

I installed it and it works just fine.
Maybe you should delete your q3conf.cfg file in your Libraries...
Someone posted this on versiontracker.

There's an even newer version that fixes that bug that was released yesterday:

ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake3/mac/Quake3-132-AltivecTest2.pkg.sit

There was a compiler issue which was causing some problems.

edit: added a 2 to the package name because there's yet ANOTHER update which has improved performance.

Hi

When I try to go to this link in Safari, there is an error. When I use IE, I get presented with a login screen asking for name and password. Any idea how to get round this?

Thanks.

I clicked it and it said at the bottom, "username anonymous". (The download didn't start because there were "too many users," though.) Try putting in "anonymous."
