Using Disk Utilities in OS X, I create a RAID set using two 20GB drives. The drives do not appear under OS 9. Is there a way to get around this? Or does I have to buy a 3rd party OS 9 RAID software application?

Mac OS 9 doesn't use Mac OS X's software RAID. And just FYI, Mac OS 9 doesn't use Mac OS X's file system journaling.
I don't remember any software solutions, but I thought there were hardware RAID set ups of Mac OS 9.

I seem to remember the Disk Utility docs saying that RAID drives would not be accessible under OS 9...

You can use a hardware RAID card, like Sonnet's ATA/133 RAID card that supports a hardware RAID configuration, readable in both OS 9 and OS X.
