Magical AppleCentre?

I went to my local AppleCentre (Generation Mac) last weekend, and I saw a very strange sight. They had a PowerMac G4, a TiBook, an iBook, an iMac G4 and an iMac G3 all playing DVDs of Star Wars: Episode 2. How on earth did they get full copies of these DVDs?

OK, sorry if this sounds a bit rude, but...

GET A CAMERA, GO THERE, KNOCK OUT ANY PERSONAL YOU ENCOUNTER AND EITHER STEAL THE DVD OR RECORD THE MOVIE, THEN EMAIL IT TO ME! MY MAILSERVER WILL HANDLE IT!!!!!

...was that to direct???

See, uh, the thing about the Macs playing the DVDs (and how Apple acquired them) isn't even slightly bizzare. What is bizarre is that they remained in the machines long enough for you to witness five iMacs with the Star Wars DVDs in them How they could have remained there without being stolen within a few seconds is beyond me

Thumbs up

Apple probably get's special edition DVDs years before the official launch of movies, because the majority (if not all) digital effects in most movies now days are made on a Mac.

ummm... well i know that for example O Brother and Final Fantasy movies were created on SGI. i thought that most if not all movies were created on SGI. Maya, the popular software for making movies, is brand new for mac, so i find it hard to believe that the majority or all movies are made on mac.

can you provide me with an example, trip?
